why do i think i could have been so lucky?
why would it ever happen to me?
why do i even care?

No one promised me good fortue or fair,
no one even promised me they'd ever care.

So why do I get so happy
when someone notices me?
I get this feeling inside,
that i cannot hide.

we have our good times,
make some memories.
we embrace each other,
and i memorize your face.

but then it comes,
those hurtful words;
and now a ripping tears through.

when all i want to do
is hear the comfort of your voice,
you're never there.

now i'm all alone,
the dark is closing all around.
back to the days
back to the days of before you.

what's happened to life?
where did the time go?
now i'm all alone,
wondering what i should do,
where i should go,
who i should be.

why did i even bother?
just to be hurt again?
why would anyone do that?
just for a chance,
one small chance,
for love.

i see all those couples,
lighting up with love,
but all i can do
is hate them.

why are they the lucky ones?
why can't it be me?
why should they be the ones
with all of the forutne?

i'm just as good.
i'm just as kind.
why am i the one
who is crying tonight?
