no blog in a while, but it's here now
04.17.05 (4:18 pm)   [edit]
yeah, so the blog died for a while. i gave it CPR and i was in a coma until now. yeah...
Ditch was friday night for the spring class. I wasn't going to do it because I didn't have a little brother even though Ian said we could with another Brother for fun. I hadn't had but 3 hours of sleep total for the two nights before, but I decided on a whim over a half a pizza I shared with Brent to go. So on a full stomach, flip flops, and little sleep I, along with Jeff, Homan, and Tomsu, began our trek back from the Haute to the House. we started at the pike state house and then walked along the north side back roads of town. Wow! that was some scary shit. It's sad that people actually live there. We had some middle/high school (there is no dividing line anymore for me) girls call us out across the street corner. Then they started to follow from a distance us for a block. We walked faster and then a dog started to follow us. Tha's the crack house part of the haute I guess. Random people on the front porches in the dark just watching us walk down the street. We took a few alleys and I swear we were going be in a hit and run. But we made it to the Boys and Girls Club (which I didn't know existed) and Tomsu and I took a pit stop near some evergreens. We traveled alongside the club's baseball field back south towards Wabash ave. Past the ball field there was a 12' tall metal fence enclosing a junk yard. There was so much broken glass shimmering on the ground from the moonlight; and the wall had grafitti galore covering its face. we came to a road finally and i bent down kissed the pavement and thanked god we had found a road. it happened to be a side street a few hundred feet norht of Locust street. So we funished up the limits of the Haute on Locust and made it to Heritage Trail. At rose we stopped at Cat's room and had some hot chocolate. it was soooo delicious! we started a tradition to stop and visit in new res. we then want to speed to so tony could take a picture in his little bro Josh's bed. Success, but right when we stepped throught the threshold into the hall, there was josh coming back from mcdonalds. the rest of us made a blockade across the hall while tony ran. We contacted him through phones to tell him where not to go. we then proceded through campus to the service road back by facilities and the observatory. We got a call from tony saying he was headed to / X house to have a friend just drive him back to the pike house. so it was just me and tomsu walking to hunt road. jeff decided to run and try to make it back on the bottleneck of Ditch, the heritage trail. walking down hunt road we came to jeff, who had be caught by his little. Tony, however, actually made it and met us back at the house.

Saturday
Workday started at 9:15 and I stumbled out to the gym 15 minutes later and had some doughnuts and OJ. I was on the landscaping team. We actually finished the landscaping from last year-sans fixing the flag pole. I went to get more mulch, since we ran out and I had my dad's truck for the day. I had to leave a 4 to go to IRT's production of billy shakespear's Midsummer Night's Dream. It was a fairly modern intrepreataion. first the stage was a giant picture, frame and all. the costumes and set were not period, and very imaginative. the only part i like in the script is the rude mechanicals and a few scenes between the lovers--so i didn't have a expectation goin in. but thats ok.
we (me, 1/cent, roesler and yousty who was going to brooke's house) left there to go have a quick dinner in the food court of circle center. awesome pizza. oh and there was these 3 gay guys sitting a few tables away from us. it was so funny because on had pants that were fit for a girl and when he sat down you could see his crack (right above the rhinestone belt). it was a bad sight to see. Something eles that..hmm...caught our eye was how the younger and younger girls dress like hoes. We guys can't tell how old a girl is anymore. 14? 30? (yousty) who knows.
then the three of us took off to IU to raeann and beth's appt. for a golf pros and tennis hoes party. it was our college party that wasn't pikes. i guess we're just that cool that we're the ones that always throw the parties. but, yeah. so we got to see all of the IU girls (and marian), and it was good. yeah tennis hoes.... :) it was good. but no they are all the sweetest girls ever. so they are all (nt raeann) coming to GreekStock ( www.greekstock.org ) to see 5 bands for a good cause..American Cancer Society. tix are only $ 10. food and beverages provided...done with the sales pitch. and more thoughts on that, but not in the blog.
