the past two days have been snow days with no school. quite nice i suppose. the snow is kinda pretty and quite deep. for a blizzard though, it was kind of a bit of a pansy. i'm a little disappointed. that makes two tuesdays in a row that have had large snow storms. but today too much has surmounted, and to the bars it was for much overdue drowning of my sorrows...
so after looking at my classes to schedule for next semester, and summer school, i came upon some fine print that made me quite unhappy. it looks like even to the best of my ability i won't be able to graduate next may.  so it looks like i get to tag on another semester. fuck. yeah look at this kid, going to be a sixth year senior. i mean i've heard of people having to take a fifth year because they are lazy or because they fail a few classes, but come on. i'm not retarded i swear. i'll have had so much shit crammed into my brain by then... i'm just a professional student. when back in high school i planned on having a degree by a few months from now, i never would have expected to be where i am now. i can't help but to be sad whenever someone in my grade says something about graduating this may. and honestly i get a little mad that i'm not going to be there walking across the stage getting my diploma. i want to go to commencement to see everyone graduate, but it will be hard not being in their shoes. i should be there damnit. i keep asking myself if it really is for the best. some how i keep telling myself it is, but i don't know if it's only a lie. second guessing is a bitch...regret.... it's only slightly ironic that a mantra of mine is to forget regret, (yeah from rent), and that's how i live. so i can't help but to just suppress it all to feel numb....yeah yeah inner emo kid....
so on the bright side of things, since i can't graduate any time in this decade, i think i am going to study abroad in paris for a month this summer. hell why not right? i'm young now. hopefully my luck will change and everything will work out fine so i can go. ha, it seems weird to be talking about the summer already. i know it's a few months off, but this past summer seems like it was just yesterday. oh, how i wish it was. it was great. so why not do something unexpected like go to france for the summer, this past summer was all impromptu and it turned out probably the best i could have imagined it would.

Saturday I got to see Gene Krantz and Jim Lovell give a speech on their accounts of the sucessful failure of the Apollo 13 mission. It was quite awesome to see two guys that are basically hero's in my eyes since i was quite, quite little.
There are 3 types of people in this world. Those who make things happen; those who watch things happen; and those who wonder what is happening.
I'm still fighting this cold that developed into bronchitis off....
The Colts won....I would never have guess it might happen.
And I'm not sure where I want to go to grad school for econ. I can't stay here, purdue only offers a phd in econ, no masters, as do most schools. But I want to get masters first before a freakin' phd. So, my options look like American (MA), Arizona St (MS), Auburn (MS), Duke (MA), Georgia St (MA or MS), Howard (MA), Michigan (MA), NC State (MA or ME), NYU (MA), Texas A&M (MS), UConn (MA), U of Florida (MA), U of Illinois (MS), U of Kentucky (MS).
I think I would prefer a MS rather than a MA, but idk yet. Being a social science, econ i cool like that and can either be a MS or MA. I'll have to check the schools all out in my free time.
