first, i have 5 exams on friday. none of which i am prepared to pass, even in a generous outlook. i really don't know what i'm doing in any class-and at rose in general. a lot of people say they are having a difficult time at rose, but are just exadurating. i mean it. i have not had a class yet which i have understood. i don't know if i want to be and EE. in fact, i don't know what i want to do. i just picked my major/school at random because it seemed nice. now i'm really regretting that. sure ECE crap is nice and all, but 1) i dont' know if it is what i want to do for a career; 2) i don't know if it is worth going through all of sophomore engineering crap, since it is composed of the exact material in which i despise with all of my will (anything mechanical and anything that moves). so i need to find out what i want, i guess. then, wait for my parents to kill me. like i would switch to CPE, but i hate programming. i like EE stuff, but can't stand rose's policy on forcing us to take ME classes. seriously, when am i going to use 3D ridgid body angular rate of rotation weird stuff... that's right never. and if some one says 'you might need it, you never know.' i'll tell them if my company puts me on a project that does that, i will just quit. screw rose and all of it's people that decided to create SEC. assholes. i have no motivation to do anything at all that i'm supposed to do for school. i find myself trying to find things so i don't have to do homework or think about school. i'll try to do msys and i'll read the problem and have not one clue on what the problem is saying or what they want me to find and how to go about finding it. arrggg.........

bikes for tykes
12.11.04 (12:18 pm) [edit]
today, early, half of the pikes along with about 150 other people got up early to build bikes for the underprivileged kids in the haute and a few surrounding towns. it was pretty cool to do for them, yet way to early for a saturday. they should plan events for college kids to fit the schedule of a college kid. it seems logical enough. i get like 3 hours of sleep a night (due to homework, yeah, a real school sucks) and i get friday and saturday night to catch up on sleep a bit. albeit they take that from me too. arrg rose! though they made up for that by giving us doughnuts, hotdogs for lunch (which i didn't get), and these sweet Santa hats. after my group of four built some 15 bikes in 3 1/2 hours, we had to 'inspect' the bikes again to see if anyone was an idiot and didn't know how to build a bike. i did a few myself. most were good, tightening a bolt here and straightening a seat there. however, there was this last bike where it looked like a person who didn't know what a bike was put it together. i had to redo both brakes, the seat, pedals, and handle bars. the seat was okay. they did that right i guess. there was a huge bottleneck in the assembly like where the old guys were inflating the tires. they had like 3 guys trying to fill up some 1000 or so tires. bad idea. at least let a nimble young person do it, it would be a little faster. then they managed to pop 3 tires over the span of the day. how hard is it to inflate a tire no more that 25 psi. seriously 3 tires?!? wtf?
this week has been extremely horrible. i am already despising m sys. the first day of fluds, lazy wayne told the two of us EE and one BE that the class had nothing to do with our majors. but we still had to take it due to ABET guidelines. iditots. ABET can kiss my ass. MIT is not ABET accredited (mostly because they think they are too good), we should say screw ABET too!!! I could have skipped all of those stupid ME crap classes: conaps, fluids, aids, msys. that'd be great! oh, well stop dreaming. my away message question from this morning during bikes for tykes: why do the old people schedule event for early in the morning? 8 is way to early for a saturday response from georgia (my dad's gf): here's an answer to your auto response......you know what they say about old people being wise? Well.....they(we) know life may end at any moment so why waste it ...LIVE TO THE FULLEST...you can sleep when ya die...then ya HAVE no choice !! I'll bet the terminally ill people wished they'da gotten up earlier to enjoy life. Love ya Honey!!! Georgia
makes sense.

week 1
12.03.04 (10:01 pm) [edit]
so the first week is now over on what seems like it will be a long, difficult quarter. I have 4 exams I know right now on Friday of week 3. I think I'll just stay in bed that Friday. ;) I have homework everday in ece200 and hard as heck homework in msys. but lazy wayne makes up for a lot of that in fluids/thermo. Finacial Econ seems like a great class thus far. Bremmer is great and super fast, in contrast to lazy wayne. DE II is fun b/c brent, cameron, schue, greve, and kat are all in there with me. It's definately not going to be a favorite class, but it'll be fun with them. I'm Chapter Educator. It's really fun thus far. yet, it has been more work than I've expected-even though i've only had the position for 1 week. It turns out that I not only have Pike Trivia, Trifolds, Composites, and a quarterly event; but i'm also the historian and appoint a chaplain, i'm in charge of writing the Pike Note and the Iota Delta. It'll be super fun. So I took this quiz on quizzila.com "What's Your Disneyland Attraction Are You?" and it told me that I'm "It's A Small World". I read the discription and it finally just hit me why the title fits the ride. I'm such an idiot. I joined facebook.com. It's cool to see some people I graduated with and haven't seen in a while. You should join too!

"it's a small world": The happiest cruise that ever sailed! Surreal and silly, or sweat and touching, you are a well intentioned 1960s homage to the world's diversity that unfortunatly inspires feelings of sheer terror in those who can't help but feel something more sinister lays beneath your shiney surface. But most cannot deny your charm, even if they cannot explain it, and leave feeling better than when they entered. Most overlook the fact that because of your unique style and design, courtesy of Disney Legend Mary Blair, you are a true work of art and you deserve to be appreciated. You are both worldy and simplistic, both cosmopolitan and decidedly middle American. You are a splendid candy-coated contradiction with a sugary, sunny song that one never forgets. If the world truely listened to your never-ending optimism, it could be a small world after all.
