Well, another semester is done. The past 6 months have been fairly fun: working at the pub, living with Erika and Cammy, taking more meaningless classes, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I really want to just go back to Europe....
I completely slacked in classes, mostly because I'm sick of school and I don't care about these classes this semester too much, they have no impact on my future. Okay, I'm sure that somewhere in the future this trivia knowledge may be used...blah blah blah. I realize that most classes can (and should) be easily replaced by a pamphlet or small book. I hate when professors try to have a 'discussion' between the guys and gals in class. I really don't give a shit what other people think about the topics we discuss. I'm here to learn, not to have a chit-chat hour with ignorant, stupid, naive kids. Fortunately I have only two more semesters--yes only a year remaining. Seriously this time! Although I did just get an email from my department informing me they added another required class for graduation. Jerks.
After that I think it's peace corps time. I think now I want to go before grad school. Sometimes I just want to be gone, and sometimes I get a bit freaked out at the thought of being gone from everyone and everything for 27 months. There is a lot of stuff I need to do before I leave. I know it's still a ways off, but I can't put things off until right before I leave. At least I have a passport...ha.
so i went in today to my advisor and scheduled classes for next semister. first, she agreed that i can/should be done by december. YAY! and second she said if i wanted it i could have a minor in history. what do i have to do to get that, i ask her. she respons: just say yes. ok. sweet.
A catch 22 exists...
The biggest Rep who can win more votes of swing voters to beat hilliary is giuliani.
Yet, if Giuliani gets the Rep ticket, a poll shows that 40 some odd percent of the right will not vote for him and will vote for a third party, because of his position on abortion.
wow. nice going, idiots.
so i went to kentucky this weekend with my dad and aunts and uncles. we went to an IRL race near Sparta, Kentucky. I remember making fun of Dunnville for being from Kentucky, and he made a point about eastern and western KY being different. yeah....he is right. East Kentucky is definately like a foreign country. They speak differently and marry their own cousins. Well the first I know for sure... Anyways, joining the thousands of locals with their mullets, racing shits, and huge fat beer bellies (quite gross), I enjoyed watching a small 1.5 mile track with some pretty sweet 210+ mph cars. You might have seen Dario Franchitti's second flip in two races...in a row. I was right in front of that...and it was pretty SWEET.
Then, we stayed and watched the Indy Pro series 100 race. Which was hilarious. These kids kinda suck at racing and had a 20 or 30 lap yellow where the safety crew had to clean up 3 seperate, similtaneous wrecks totalling 4 cars. As we were leaving Gene Simmons and his wife rode in front of us on the back of a golf cart waving at everyone. Considering he was like 4 feet from me, I think it was the first time I've been really close to a star. Yeah...I was in shock. Then I smiled and waved after my brain affirmed that it was indeed him.
